Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and the former Institute of Culinary Education instructor she is a popular TV host. Burrell hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network. With her trademark spiky blond hair and bubbly personality Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of dining out, and provides concise easy-to-master techniques for the at-home cook in her Food Network series Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell has worked and studied in the best New York restaurants. He also battled Iron Chef America and the food scene of Italy. As a child in the upstate New York area, Chef Burrell developed a passion for food and cooking at a young age. She pursued her passion for food and restaurant by enroling in The Culinary Institute of America following her graduation in English and Communication from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. I was awed by every minute that I was a student of The Culinary Institute of America she states. I was never able to study or accomplish enough. After graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany as well as La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) during her time at an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. The time she spent in Italy has helped her understand and appreciate the Italian tradition and philosophy, and this has left an impression on her perception of food. Burrell was a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board to improve the lives of kids facing difficulties. Additionally, she is an Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity ambassador who promotes awareness of the condition known as juvenile diabetes. As a guest speaker and mentor, she travels around the United States to discuss her passion for cooking as well as her career. In her journey to culinary excellence, Anne has always said I feel very fortunate to share my true passion to others.
