Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko fights as Antonina Shevchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thai fighter in the flyweight division. She's older than fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko first began combat sports as a Muay Thai Kickboxer. Shevchenko made her debut at the IFMA World Championship Tournament of 2003. Shevchenko defeated Suzane McKell in the finals with a unanimous verdict. Antonina followed it up and took home a silver medal in 2007, a bronze in 2008, a gold medal in the year 2011 and the title of 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia's professional career began in 2003. In 2012 she won the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship and in 2016 the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016, she won the WMC World Championships. Antonina's most recent fight took place against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. She was able to win by a unanimous vote. Antonina shevchenko recorded her debut professional MMA fight in 2002 with Anara bayanova in the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She won 3-0 following the second-round TKO. The next two fights were won at WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003. Shevchenko dedicated herself to kickboxing, and took a long absence of MMA. She was back to fight in 2017 and faced Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa through a unanimous decision, before prevailing over Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. She quit the promotion and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina made use of her formidable fighting techniques and striking skills to TKO Nievera in the clinch with knees and body. Antonina's UFC contract was renewed in the wake of this win. Antonina Shevchenko debuted in UFC at the TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modeafferi with the unanimous verdict. But, she fell in her second fight because of a split verdict. Antonina has been defeated recently by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
